You got all your supplies? Good let's get started!
Start by creating a new image 500x500 transparent background.
Select the Preset shapes tool with these settings, Shape is Heart 1, antialias and create as vector checked, line style solid, width 10
Pick the color you want for the foreground, I used #800000 and make the background null
Draw out a heart (mine ended up being 358x315)
Select the Object Selection Tool and select your shape, center it on the canvas
Select the pen tool, you should be in edit mode (by default)
If you look at your tool bar you'll see something that looks like this
This is the where will be focusing our attention for the next few steps. It's a very simple way to transform nodes instead of manually moving them.
(transformation 1) Click on the little arrow pointing down and select Duplicate Selected. Enter 0.00 in both boxes and click the check mark to apply.
Notice how the nodes now look like a little plus sign? Well that just means there are two nodes in the exact same spot so don't worry.
(transformation 2) Now click on the little arrow again but this time select rotate.Settings at 30.00, click the check mark to apply
Repeat transformation 1 and then repeat transformation 2.
Repeat again..actually repeat until you have went completely around. You should have this
At the end you should have a total of 12 points in the middle.
Click twice anywhere outside your shape to unselect it.
Select the preset shapes tool again, but this time change the shape to Elipse. (settings are the same)
Make the Raster Layer 1 active (under your vector layer)
Draw out an elipse just a tad bigger then your main shape. This is just to make it round. You should have this
Now select the Object Selection Tool and click at the top above your image and drag to the bottom. (this selects both vector layers) Click on Objects-Group. This puts both vector layers on one layer without loosing the vector. You can also now delete the vector 1 layer since it should now be empty.
Select you Magic Wand tool and click anywhere outside of the shape. Click on selections-Invert, and then Selections-Contract. Contract the selection by 1 and click ok.
Add a new layer. Select the Flood Fill Tool and flood fill with the same color you used to make the shape. Looks like you've got one big circle now huh? Well that will change in a second so don't worry.
Deselect and drag this layer under your shape.
Make the shape layer active and again select your Object Selection Tool and click anywhere on your shape.
Go to Selections and click on From Vector Object. Click on Selections Invert and select the Magic Wand Tool. Ctrl+Click on the outside of the shape to get rid of the outside selection. Your selection should look like this.
Make the other layer active (should be raster 2) and click on Selections--Float.
Apply a cutout with the following settings
Vertical and Horizontal=5 Opacity=50 Blur=10 Color=#400000 (if you used the same color as me, if not use a darker shade then you used for the shape)
Keep selected and apply another cutout using same settings but change Vertical and Horizontal to -3. Deselect
Make the vector layer active again. Select the Object Selection tool and click on your shape. Click on Selections--From Vector Object. Convert this layer to raster.
Apply the Super Blade Pro preset Gold Glitter and deselect.
Merge Layers Visible.
Add a topper of your own or use mine and you're done!
