How to use Axialis Professional Screen Saver Producer

How to make a Slide Show screen saver continued...

Click on the Background tab

As you can see you have three options for your background. First is Image Wallpaper which you can Stretch to fit the entire screen, Center it on the screen, or Tile it over the entire screen.

Gradient (which is what we will use) Click on the down arrow next to From color: and select Pink (if you hover over a color it will tell you the name of that color), now click on the down arrow next to To color: and select Light Orange. Select Vertical as the direction of the gradient and check Mirror, by checking mirror it goes from Pink to Light Orange and back to Pink. Kind of looks like a sunset all by it self!

A Solid Color can be used too.

Click on the Default Music tab

We won't be adding music to this one but for future reference we will go over it briefly.

Click on the three dots to select your music file, push play to hear it.

You have two options, Save a copy of the music file in the project document (not recommended for large music files) and Restart music playback when finished. A couple of things to note is there is one advantage to saving a copy of the music file in the project and that is if you were to delete that music file it will still play. And if you want the music to loop or play over and over make sure to check Restart.

Click on the last tab the Video tab

To be honest with you I've never added a video clip in one of my slide show screen savers. I haven't because I tend to use a lot of images and to add a video it would send the size of the file larger then I like but we will go over it briefly.

You start by clicking on the three dots to select your file, and of course you have the option to save the file in the project.

Size, is where you specify how large you want your clip played. 100% will show it full screen, you can also check to have the size based on the screen size which will get larger the larger the resolution.

Position of course says where on the screen you want it (320 and 240 which is default is centered).

You then have the choice to play the clip over and over (Play the video clip forever) or to play it only once before the slide show starts.

That is all there is to it, you should now know how to compile a slide show screen saver and you have finished your very first one!

Now that you're finished compiling your screen saver you'll want to test it. If you click on the first icon (Display full screen) The screen saver will start on whatever slide you have selected. If you click on the second icon pictured (Test Screen Saver full screen) it will start from the begining. And the last and final icon is what you click when you are finished when you are ready to compile you screen saver.

To compile your Screen Saver into a SCR file first save your project in .SSP format (click on File/Save)

When you click on the icon another window pops up, there you will see the file name of the .SSP file and you will have to state where you would like the final .SCR to be saved. You can also place it in your personal Windows System folder but you may not want to do this since this is just a tutorial. You can also set it as the current Screen Saver.Click Next.

The next screen will probably be filled in for you as well but you may want to change some of the information, it's all up to you. Click next.

Here is where you decide wether you want an image splash screen, text splash screen or no splash screen at all (this will show the title of the screen saver and who made it). Click next

Click on Go and Compile. You have now made your first Slide Show screen saver!!

More coming soon!
