How to use Axialis Professional Screen Saver Producer

How to make a Slide Show screen saver

Ok first things first. Do you remember this from the Sprite screen saver? (Click on File-New Screen Saver Project or Ctrl+N)

Here you will choose the type of screen saver you want to make.

Slide Show Based Screen Saver
The screen saver is made of several photos displaying on screen like a slide show. Several options like music, transition effects, delay, etc.

We will be doing a Slide Show Screen Saver so highlight it and click on next.

Again you have the option of filling in your information now but you can go back later and do this as well and since this is just a tutorial you might just want to leave the default Project 1 as the title and the rest blank. Click Next...

This is what you see now, didn't I tell you you'd have a chance to fill this in later?

You always start with the General tab, here you can add all the info that was on the previous screen in case you want to change it from what you added earlier.

You can also add other options which I want to briefly go over.

OPTIONS:

First there is Repeat forever, (checked) which just means that once all slides have been shown it starts over. I always check this since who wants a screen saver that plays only once?

Display slide information, (checked) this comes in handy if you want to name your slides and you can even give it a short discription! (I rarely check this but it is a cool feature)

Shadow behind pictures, (checked) this gives depth to your screen saver and looks really good most of the time but keep in mind that you don't have options with this(ie opacity, color of shadow).

Margin, this adds a margin between the edge of the screen and the text (when Display slide information is checked)

Display slides in random order Except first slide (displayed once), this two go hand and hand since you don't have the second option (Except first slide) unless you check the first one. This will display your slides randomly in no certain order, the only thing I don't like about this is sometimes it repeats slides that have already been shown. I do however like the Except first slide (displayed once) because this gives you a chance to make a sort of splash screen that will set the mood for the rest of the screen saver.
